Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are partnering with excellent schools in Sheffield for seeking resilient and supportive Behaviour Support. We would like to hear from individuals who can form constructive relationships with students, provide consistent guidance, and respond effectively when behavioural or emotional difficulties create barriers to learning.
The Behaviour Support will work alongside teaching and pastoral teams to help learners understand expectations, manage challenging situations, and develop the skills needed to engage more successfully with school life.
Behaviour Support Responsibilities:
- Provide individual guidance to students experiencing behavioural or emotional difficulties
- Identify triggers and recognise early signs of frustration, anxiety, or disengagement
- Apply positive behaviour strategies and appropriate de-escalation techniques
- Help young people reflect on incidents and develop more constructive responses
- Reinforce consistent routines, expectations, and appropriate boundaries
- Share observations with teachers and pastoral staff to support coordinated intervention
Behaviour Support Requirements:
- Experience in education, youth work, mentoring, care, or a related environment is desirable
- Knowledge of positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
- Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately during challenging situations
- Confidence establishing clear boundaries and constructive relationships
- Strong communication skills with a resilient and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
