Job Title: Early Years Practitioner

Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting caring and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to work in welcoming schools in Sheffield. We are seeking individuals who understand the importance of children’s early development and can provide stimulating activities that encourage curiosity, confidence, and positive interaction.
As an Early Years Practitioner (EYP), you will support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), creating opportunities for them to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities:
- Create play-based activities suited to children’s interests and developmental stages
- Encourage early communication, language, literacy, and numeracy skills
- Observe children’s progress and contribute to developmental records
- Facilitate creative, sensory, physical, and exploratory learning experiences
- Promote positive relationships, confidence, and increasing independence
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and welcoming Early Years environment
Early Years Practitioner Requirements:
- Previous experience in Early Years, nursery, childcare, or a similar setting
- Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Knowledge of key areas of early childhood learning and development
- Ability to engage young children through purposeful and age-appropriate activities
- Patient, attentive, reliable, and adaptable approach to Early Years practice
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
