GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are currently seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to work with schools across Doncaster.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, challenging and inclusive Maths lessons that help pupils develop strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated teacher to inspire pupils and support their academic progress.
Responsibilities of a Maths Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across different year groups and ability levels.
- Teach mathematical concepts clearly, helping pupils develop confidence and problem-solving skills.
- Differentiate lessons and resources to meet the needs of individual pupils, including those with SEND.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to engage pupils and encourage active participation.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Monitor, assess and record pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Identify areas where pupils require additional support and implement appropriate interventions.
- Prepare pupils effectively for assessments and examinations where required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupils' academic development and wider school priorities.
Requirements of a Maths Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Maths within a school setting is desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Maths curriculum.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver differentiated and engaging lessons.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- · A relevant degree or qualification in Maths, Education or a related subject is desirable.
