Salary: £460–£650 per week (Depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work with schools across Doncaster.
The successful candidate will supervise classes in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring pupils remain focused, engaged and supported while completing pre-planned lessons. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience within a school environment and make a positive contribution to pupils' learning.
Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
- Deliver and support pre-planned lessons and learning activities provided by teaching staff.
- Maintain a positive, safe and orderly classroom environment.
- Manage pupil behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Ensure pupils remain engaged and complete the work set by their teacher.
- Take accurate registers and report any attendance or behaviour concerns.
- Provide appropriate support to pupils during lessons where required.
- Monitor pupils' progress and provide feedback to relevant teaching staff.
- Support pupils across different subjects, year groups and ability levels.
- Follow school safeguarding, health and safety and behaviour procedures at all times.
Requirements of a Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Previous experience in a school, education, youth work or similar setting is advantageous.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils.
- Confident, calm and adaptable approach to managing different classroom situations.
- Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions effectively.
- Reliable, organised and professional attitude.
- A degree or relevant qualification is desirable but not essential.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
