Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Salary: £460–£650 per week, depending on experience
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education South Yorkshire are currently seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with schools across Doncaster.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support pupils' learning, development and wellbeing, providing assistance in the classroom and, where required, through one-to-one or small-group support.
Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils where required.
- Assist pupils with their learning, encouraging confidence, independence and participation.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs and SEND.
- Help prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment.
- Assist with monitoring pupils' progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development.
- Encourage positive relationships between pupils and staff.
- Follow school policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, behaviour, health and safety.
Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Experience within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work or similar setting is advantageous.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Calm, adaptable and resilient approach to supporting pupils with different needs.
- CACHE, NVQ Level 2/3 or another relevant childcare/education qualification is desirable.
