Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking energetic and committed Physical Education Teacher to work in active schools across Sheffield. We are looking for qualified educators who can deliver varied physical activities, encourage participation across different ability levels, and create an environment where students can develop both sporting skills and positive attitudes towards physical wellbeing.
The PE Teacher will deliver practical and theory-based Physical Education lessons, helping learners improve fitness, coordination, teamwork, tactical understanding, and confidence across a range of sports and activities.
PE Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver structured PE lessons across a variety of sports and physical activities
- Demonstrate techniques and provide clear guidance to improve individual performance
- Adapt sessions to accommodate different abilities, confidence levels, and physical needs
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, resilience, and responsible participation
- Assess practical performance and provide constructive feedback for development
- Maintain appropriate health and safety standards during lessons and sporting activities
PE Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
- Strong understanding of the Physical Education curriculum
- Experience teaching PE within a school environment or similar setting
- Ability to lead a broad range of sporting and physical activities confidently
- Effective communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
