Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking for technically skilled and engaging Computer Studies (CS) Teacher to join schools across Sheffield. This role is suited to qualified educators who can connect computing theory with practical applications, introduce learners to programming and digital systems, and make technical concepts accessible across different ability levels.
As a CS Teacher, you will deliver curriculum-focused learning across programming, algorithms, computer systems, networks, data, and digital technologies while developing students’ computational thinking and technical confidence.
Computer Studies Teacher Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging lessons across key areas of Computing and Computer Studies
- Teach programming concepts through practical coding exercises and projects
- Explore topics including algorithms, networks, data representation, computer systems, and cybersecurity
- Encourage learners to apply logical thinking when approaching technical problems
- Assess understanding through projects, coursework, classroom tasks, and formal assessments
- Prepare examination groups with structured revision and targeted academic support
Computer Studies Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
- Strong knowledge of the Computing or Computer Studies curriculum
- Practical understanding of programming languages and relevant digital technologies
- Previous experience teaching Computing, Computer Science, or ICT is desirable
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to learners with varying levels of experience
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
