Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking for enthusiastic and dependable Teaching Assistant (TA) to join fabulous schools throughout Sheffield. We welcome individuals who can work effectively alongside teachers, respond to different educational needs, and provide focused guidance that enables students to participate fully in their learning.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will contribute to classroom learning by reinforcing key concepts, assisting individuals and small groups, and creating opportunities for learners to develop academically and socially.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist learners who need additional guidance with classroom tasks and activities
- Lead targeted one-to-one and small-group sessions under teacher direction
- Modify learning resources to accommodate different abilities and educational needs
- Encourage students to contribute actively and develop independent working habits
- Observe progress and communicate relevant information to teaching staff
- Support positive classroom routines and an inclusive learning environment
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Awareness of different learning needs and suitable classroom support approaches
- Ability to communicate clearly and establish constructive relationships
- Confidence working independently as well as alongside teaching professionals
- Organised, patient, and flexible approach to supporting education
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
