Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: Sheffield S5
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant who enjoys helping children learn and develop? A welcoming primary school in Sheffield S5 is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across their school day.
About the Role:
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support learning, classroom activities and the wider development of pupils. You may provide one-to-one or small-group support, helping children build confidence, develop independence and stay engaged with their learning.
The role will involve supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, depending on school needs, with opportunities to use your experience to make a positive difference in the classroom.

Responsibilities:

Support pupils with their learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.

Work alongside the class teacher to deliver effective classroom activities.

Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.

Help pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits.

Support age-appropriate behaviour and pastoral needs.

Assist with classroom routines, resources and organisation.

Monitor pupils' engagement and provide relevant feedback to the class teacher.
Requirements:

A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable.

Previous experience working in a primary school setting.

A patient, caring and consistent approach to supporting children.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to support pupils with a range of learning and developmental needs.

Confidence working independently and as part of a wider school team.

A genuine commitment to helping children progress and succeed.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
