Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Worksop
Salary: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you confident leading a classroom and keen to support pupils in their learning? A welcoming secondary school in Worksop is looking for a dependable Cover Supervisor to join its team and provide effective classroom supervision.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes when teachers are unavailable, ensuring pupils understand and complete the work provided. You will follow lesson plans, manage classroom behaviour and provide support throughout the school day.

Responsibilities:

Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.

Deliver pre-prepared lesson activities and ensure pupils remain focused.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school expectations.

Support pupils with their learning and encourage participation.

Maintain a calm, safe and orderly classroom environment.

Report relevant behaviour or learning concerns to teaching staff.

Follow school policies and procedures consistently.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Confident classroom management and communication skills.

A calm, consistent and professional approach.

Ability to follow lesson plans and work independently.

Strong organisational skills and reliability.

A genuine interest in supporting pupils within education.
-
Previous experience in a school or Cover Supervisor role is advantageous.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
