Salary Scale: £34,068 to £52,834 per annum (MPS/UPS)

GSL Education Hull Branch are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to work within secondary schools across Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who can deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons while encouraging students to develop their physical skills, teamwork, and confidence.
About the Role
As a Physical Education Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across a range of activities and abilities. You will create a positive and inclusive environment where students can develop their physical skills, understanding of sport, teamwork, and personal wellbeing.
Core Responsibilities of the Physical Education Teacher
- Plan and deliver engaging practical and theoretical PE lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Develop students’ physical skills, sporting knowledge, teamwork, and confidence.
- Adapt activities and teaching approaches to meet different abilities and individual needs.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour, participation, and safety during lessons.
- Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to support development.
- Encourage positive attitudes towards physical activity, health, and wellbeing.
As the Ideal Physical Education Teacher, You Should Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge across Physical Education and a range of sporting activities.
- Previous experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to deliver safe, inclusive, and engaging practical lessons.
- A positive, energetic, and student-focused approach to teaching.
To Work with GSL Education, You Must:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with at least 2 professional references covering the last 2 years.
- Have recent experience working with children or young people.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
