Salary Scale: £92 – £115 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education Hull Branch are currently searching for a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work within schools across Scarborough. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a relevant Level 2 qualification and a genuine passion for supporting pupils in a positive and inclusive learning environment.
About the Role
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and wider school staff to support pupils with their learning, engagement, and personal development. You may provide one-to-one or small-group support, assist with classroom activities, and help create a safe and encouraging environment where pupils can thrive.
Core Responsibilities of the Level 2 Teaching Assistant
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils across a range of learning activities.
- Assist teachers with preparing and delivering classroom activities and learning resources.
- Support pupils with their academic, social, emotional, and communication needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, independence, and engagement with learning.
- Help monitor pupils’ progress and provide appropriate feedback to teaching staff.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
As the Ideal Level 2 Teaching Assistant, You Should Have
- A relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting.
- A patient, caring, and supportive approach to working with pupils.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
- A flexible and proactive approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting pupils’ development.
To Work with GSL Education, You Must:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with at least 2 professional references covering the last 2 years.
- Have recent experience working with children or young people.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
