Salary: Up to £220 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire pupils across Key Stage 2?
GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are currently seeking a passionate Key Stage 2 Teacher to work within schools across Doncaster.
As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum, adapting your teaching to meet the needs of individual learners and creating a positive classroom environment where pupils feel confident to participate and succeed.
Responsibilities of a Key Stage 2 Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative and age-appropriate lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Adapt teaching approaches and resources to meet the needs of different learners.
- Establish a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Assess and monitor pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback and appropriate support.
- Set high expectations for learning, behaviour and personal development.
- Support pupils in developing confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other school staff to support pupils’ needs.
- Maintain accurate records of assessment, planning and pupil progress.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents/carers where appropriate.
- Contribute to wider school activities and the positive life of the school community.
Requirements of a Key Stage 2 Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 2 is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A creative, enthusiastic and child-centred approach to teaching..
- Commitment to promoting high standards of achievement and pupil wellbeing.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
