Early Years Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Salary: Up to £220 per day

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time
Are you a passionate and nurturing Early Years Teacher looking for an opportunity to inspire young learners and support their development from the very beginning?
GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch currently seeking a dedicated Early Years Teacher to work within schools across Doncaster.
As an Early Years Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, supporting children’s communication, language, physical, social and emotional development while helping them develop the confidence and skills needed for their next stage of education.
Responsibilities of an Early Years Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
- Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
- Support children’s communication, language, physical, social and emotional development.
- Use play-based learning and creative activities to encourage curiosity and independence.
- Observe, assess and record children’s development and progress.
- Adapt activities and learning approaches to meet individual children’s needs.
- Establish positive relationships with children and encourage confidence and self-esteem.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, support staff and other professionals.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children’s development where appropriate.
- Contribute to wider school activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
Requirements of an Early Years Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching within an Early Years setting is desirable.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and play-based learning.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with young children and colleagues.
- Commitment to supporting every child’s individual development and wellbeing.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
