Salary: £14–£17 per hour (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Long-Term/ Day-to-day, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education Manchester Branch are currently seeking a warm and reliable Nursery Assistant to work with a nursery setting in Manchester (M12). This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and can provide the care, encouragement and support they need throughout their day.
As a Nursery Assistant, you will:
- Support children with their daily routines, learning and play activities.
- Help create a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment.
- Encourage children's social, emotional and communication development.
- Assist with creative, sensory and age-appropriate activities.
- Support children with personal care and daily needs where required.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with children.
- Work closely with nursery staff to support individual children's needs.
Requirements for the Nursery Assistant role:
- Previous experience working with nursery children is desirable.
- Experience within a nursery, childcare, education or similar setting would be beneficial.
- A caring, patient and attentive approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable and adaptable attitude.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
