Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting reliable and resilient Behaviour Support to work with welcoming schools in Doncaster. This role is suited to individuals who can establish constructive relationships with students, recognise behavioural triggers, and use appropriate strategies to encourage improved engagement and emotional regulation.
The Behaviour Support will work closely with learners who need additional behavioural or emotional guidance, helping them develop self-awareness, manage difficult situations, and participate more positively in their education.
Behaviour Support Responsibilities:
- Establish clear expectations and reinforce positive behaviour throughout the school day
- Identify potential triggers and respond before challenging situations escalate
- Apply appropriate de-escalation and behaviour management strategies
- Encourage young people to reflect on their actions and develop more constructive responses
- Track changes in engagement, conduct, and emotional regulation
- Coordinate with teachers and pastoral teams to maintain consistent support
Behaviour Support Requirements:
- Experience in education, youth work, mentoring, care, or a similar environment is desirable
- Understanding of positive behaviour management and de-escalation approaches
- Ability to remain composed and professional in challenging circumstances
- Confidence setting appropriate boundaries while maintaining positive relationships
- Strong communication skills with a patient, adaptable, and consistent approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
