Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Long-Term/ Day-to-day, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are currently seeking an enthusiastic Physical Education (PE) Teacher to work with a school in Doncaster. The role offers the opportunity to deliver enjoyable and purposeful physical education while helping the youths develop sporting ability, teamwork and positive personal skills.

As a PE Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based PE lessons.
  • Adapt sporting activities to meet different abilities and needs.
  • Promote teamwork, discipline and positive participation.
  • Encourage pupils to understand the importance of physical wellbeing.
  • Assess progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain appropriate behaviour and safety standards during practical sessions.
  • Support wider sporting activities and extracurricular opportunities where appropriate.

Requirements to be considered as a PE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Physical Education and relevant sporting activities.
  • Previous experience teaching PE within a school setting is desirable.
  • Effective classroom and practical-session management skills.
  • Ability to motivate pupils and encourage active participation.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
