Salary: £460–£650 per week (depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking for a committed Teaching Assistant (TA) to work with a school in Doncaster. The role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with students, providing practical classroom support and helping teachers create a positive learning environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
- Assist pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks.
- Help students understand instructions and remain focused.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive learning habits.
- Support teachers with classroom routines and resources.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and welcoming classroom.
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant role:
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Experience in education, childcare, tutoring or a similar environment would be beneficial.
- Patient, approachable and encouraging manner.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
- Reliable and adaptable approach to supporting pupils.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
