GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking for a committed Maths Teacher to join a school in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver well-structured lessons, support pupils' progress and create a classroom environment where students feel confident tackling mathematical challenges.
Your responsibilities as a Maths Teacher will include:
- Plan and deliver effective lessons across the Mathematics curriculum.
- Explain mathematical concepts clearly using a range of teaching approaches.
- Adapt lessons and activities to accommodate different abilities.
- Develop pupils' reasoning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback.
- Promote positive behaviour and high expectations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupils' academic development.
Requirements to be a Maths Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Mathematics and the ability to communicate concepts effectively.
- Previous experience teaching Mathematics in a school environment is desirable.
- Good classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to motivate pupils and build positive learning relationships.
- Strong planning, communication and organisational abilities.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
