Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting enthusiastic and dependable Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in vibrant school throughout Sheffield. We are looking for individuals who can support classroom learning, build positive relationships with young people, and adapt their approach to meet a range of academic and developmental needs.
The Teaching Assistant will work alongside teaching staff to reinforce lesson content, provide focused guidance, and help learners participate effectively in everyday classroom activities.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals who require additional explanation or guidance during lessons
- Lead focused activities with students individually and in small groups
- Prepare and adapt learning resources to suit different levels of ability
- Encourage young people to contribute actively and develop greater independence
- Observe progress and share useful information with teachers and support staff
- Help maintain an inclusive, organised, and productive classroom environment
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people is desirable
- Understanding of different learning needs and appropriate support strategies
- Ability to communicate clearly and establish positive relationships with learners
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a classroom team
- Patient, organised, and flexible approach to educational support
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
