Job Title: Teacher of Maths

Salary Scale: £174.70 to £270.94 per day (MPS/UPS)
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher looking for an opportunity to inspire pupils and help them develop strong mathematical skills? GSL Education Hull Branch are currently recruiting a committed Teacher of Maths to work in an educational setting in North Yorkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident teacher who can deliver engaging Maths lessons, challenge pupils of different abilities, and create a positive classroom environment where students are encouraged to achieve their potential.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons that meet the needs and abilities of all pupils.
- Teach mathematical concepts clearly, using appropriate methods and resources to develop understanding.
- Differentiate learning activities to support, challenge, and stretch pupils across a range of abilities.
- Monitor pupils’ progress and attainment, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Establish positive classroom routines and maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider Maths curriculum and school community.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- A degree or relevant qualification in Maths or a related subject.
- Previous experience teaching Maths at secondary level is desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge with the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and confidently.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
