Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant, Higher Level Teaching Assistant or Classroom Practitioner looking for a new opportunity in Loughton?
GSL Education is currently recruiting for a part-time, long-term HLTA role at a primary school in Loughton, starting ASAP.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced education professional who enjoys working across different year groups and is confident taking responsibility for classes across a primary school.
About the Role
As an HLTA, you will work across the school, providing whole-class cover and classroom support across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
The role could suit an experienced HLTA, Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant who is confident leading a class and looking to take the next step in their education career.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Covering classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Delivering pre-planned lessons and learning activities
- Leading whole-class sessions and small-group activities
- Supporting pupils to remain engaged and making progress
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and positively
- Adapting your approach to meet the needs of different pupils and year groups
- Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team
- Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Providing consistency and continuity when covering classes
Who We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from:
- Qualified HLTAs / Higher Level Teaching Assistants
- Experienced Teaching Assistants ready to progress into an HLTA position
- Learning Support Assistants with strong classroom experience
- Experienced Classroom Assistants or Cover Supervisors
- Candidates with experience working across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
- Confident practitioners who can lead a class independently
- Candidates with strong behaviour management and classroom skills
- Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic education professionals
An HLTA qualification is desirable, but relevant experience and the ability to confidently lead a class will also be considered.
