Salary Scale: £92 – £115 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education Hull Branch are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work in a secondary school in Hull. This is a rewarding opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to work alongside teaching staff, provide targeted classroom support and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Learning Support Assistant Role:
The successful Learning Support Assistant will support pupils across the school with their academic, social and personal development. You will help learners access the curriculum, remain engaged in lessons and develop greater independence, while working closely with teachers and wider support staff to meet individual needs.
Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils during lessons and learning activities.
- Assist pupils with accessing the curriculum, completing tasks and developing independent learning skills.
- Support learners who may experience additional learning, behavioural, social or emotional needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour, participation and confidence within the classroom.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement appropriate learning and support strategies.
- Monitor pupil engagement and progress, sharing relevant observations with teaching staff.
Learning Support Assistant Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people in a school, educational, youth or care setting is desirable.
- A patient, compassionate and adaptable approach to supporting pupils with different needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Confidence in supporting pupils who may experience barriers to learning or require additional assistance.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff while maintaining a professional approach.
- An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years, with any employment gaps explained
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
