Role: Primary Teacher – Year 5
Location: Tameside, Greater Manchester
Salary: M1–M6 pay scale, £140 per day minimum (Supply) / MPS/UPS pro rata (Long-Term/Permanent); (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Day-to-Day & Long-Term Supply, with Permanent Opportunities
Start Date: Trial days available within the next 7 days, with a start in the coming weeks

GSL Education Manchester Branch are recruiting a dedicated Primary Teacher to join a primary school in Tameside, supporting a Year 5 class. This opportunity is suitable for a confident teacher who can plan and deliver engaging lessons, maintain positive classroom routines and support pupils as they prepare for the transition towards Year 6.
Trial days are available within the next 7 days, with a view to a settled placement starting in the coming weeks.
As a Primary Teacher- Y5, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 5.
- Assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records.
- Establish clear classroom routines and manage behaviour effectively.
- Support pupils in working towards Year 6 SATs expectations.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Year 5 and KS2 team.
- Contribute to planning, assessment and moderation activities.
The successful Primary Teacher- Y5 will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Experience teaching within KS2, ideally in Year 5 or Year 6.
- Strong subject knowledge and confident lesson-planning skills.
- Good classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Availability to attend a trial day within the next week.
- Two professional references covering the last two years.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
