Job Title: EYFS Teacher
Location: Salford, Greater Manchester
Salary: M1–M6 pay scale, £140 per day minimum (Supply) / MPS/UPS pro rata (Long-Term/Permanent); (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: Trial days available within the next 7 days, with a start in the coming weeks

GSL Education Manchester Branch are recruiting an enthusiastic and reflective EYFS Teacher to join a primary school in Salford. The role will suit a confident practitioner who understands how young children learn and can create a positive, engaging environment that supports their early development.

Trial days are available within the next 7 days, with a view to a settled placement starting in the coming weeks.

As an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver learning across the EYFS curriculum, covering the prime and specific areas of learning.
  • Develop high-quality continuous provision across indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Support the Characteristics of Effective Learning throughout the school day.
  • Promote communication and language development and support pupils' personal, social and emotional development (PSED).
  • Deliver phonics and early reading and support the development of early writing in line with the current Writing Framework.
  • Assess and record pupil progress against EYFS Development Matters and the Early Learning Goals.
  • Work closely with parents/carers and the wider EYFS team.

The successful EYFS Teacher will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Previous experience teaching within EYFS or Reception.
  • A strong understanding of continuous provision and child development.
  • Confidence delivering phonics and early reading.
  • A reflective and positive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Availability to attend a trial day within the next week.
  • Two professional references covering the last two years.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.

  • Supply rates from £140 per day minimum, based on experience.
  • M1–M6 pay scale for suitable supply work.
  • MPS/UPS pro rata for long-term or permanent opportunities.
