GSL Education Hull Branch are currently recruiting for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Maths Teacher to work within a supportive secondary school environment in Hull. About the Role

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across the secondary Maths curriculum, supporting students to develop their mathematical knowledge, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. You will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment while adapting your teaching to meet the needs of students with different abilities.

Core Responsibilities of the Maths Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Maths lessons in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Develop students’ mathematical understanding, reasoning, problem-solving, and confidence.
  • Differentiate lessons effectively to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a positive, purposeful classroom environment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support students’ academic progress and wider development.

As the Ideal Maths Teacher, You Should Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching Maths across the secondary age range.
  • Previous experience teaching Maths within a UK secondary school setting.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies and differentiate effectively for individual needs.
  • A passionate, enthusiastic, and student-focused approach to teaching and learning.

To Work with GSL Education, You Must:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Provide an up-to-date CV and references covering the last 2 years.
  • Have recent experience working with children or young people.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
