Job Title: Early Years Practitioner

Salary Scale: £92 – £115 per day (Depending on experience)

Are you a caring, enthusiastic, and nurturing Early Years Practitioner who loves helping young children learn, grow, and develop? GSL Education Hull Branch are currently recruiting a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to work in an educational setting in Scarborough.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who can create a warm and engaging environment where young children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting children’s early development, communication, confidence, and independence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support children’s learning and development through engaging, age-appropriate activities and play-based experiences.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
  • Provide attentive support to children’s individual developmental, emotional, social, and communication needs.
  • Encourage positive relationships, confidence, independence, and early social skills.
  • Observe children’s development and provide relevant feedback to teachers and other members of the early years team.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and follow safeguarding, health, safety, and wellbeing procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young children in an Early Years, nursery, school, childcare, or similar setting.
  • A relevant Early Years qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner/Childcare is desirable.
  • A warm, patient, and nurturing approach with the ability to build positive relationships with young children.
  • Good understanding of children’s early development and the importance of play-based learning.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a professional and reliable approach.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
