GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking a creative and nurturing Early Years Teacher to work with a school in Sheffield. The role offers the opportunity to create purposeful learning experiences through play, exploration and carefully planned activities that support children's early development.
Key responsibilities as an Early Years Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Support children's language, communication and personal development.
- Use play-based approaches to encourage curiosity and independence.
- Assess children's progress and maintain appropriate records.
- Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs.
- Establish positive routines and a nurturing classroom environment.
- Work with colleagues and families to support children's development.
Requirements for the Early Years Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
- Experience teaching within an Early Years setting.
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework and early child development is really important for being an Early Year Teacher.
- Ability to create engaging, inclusive and purposeful learning experiences.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Caring, patient and adaptable approach.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
