Salary: £460–£600 per week (depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking a compassionate Behaviour Support to work with a school in Sheffield. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can provide consistent support to pupils, encourage positive behaviour and work with staff to help students overcome barriers to learning.
As a Behaviour Support, your role will involve:
- Providing targeted support to pupils who display behavioural challenges.
- Encouraging appropriate behaviour and positive decision-making.
- Helping pupils recognise and manage emotional or behavioural triggers.
- Establishing positive, respectful relationships with students.
- Supporting classroom participation and successful transitions.
- Working with teachers and pastoral colleagues on individual strategies.
- Sharing observations and relevant concerns with appropriate staff.
Requirements for the Behaviour Support role:
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Background in behavioural support, education, youth work or pastoral care is beneficial.
- Patient and non-judgemental approach.
- Confidence when managing challenging situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, consistent and emotionally resilient.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
