Learning Support Assistant
Location: Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Salary: £92 – £115 per day
GSL Education are currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school near Bridlington, on a full-time basis, starting ASAP.

The successful candidate will become part of a dedicated team of teaching and support staff, working collaboratively to ensure pupils receive the support they need to succeed.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support pupils within mainstream lessons, helping them access the curriculum, remain engaged and make progress.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing learning support to pupils across a range of mainstream lessons.
- Working with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis where required.
- Supporting pupils to access classroom activities and the wider curriculum.
- Helping pupils remain focused, engaged and confident in their learning.
- Working closely with teachers to provide consistent and effective support.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and encouraging their independence.
- Supporting positive behaviour and maintaining a calm, inclusive classroom environment.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally:
- Have experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting.
- Be passionate about supporting pupils and helping them reach their potential.
- Have a patient, understanding and approachable nature.
- Be confident working alongside teachers within a busy classroom environment.
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Be reliable, adaptable and able to respond positively to different pupil needs.
- Have a genuine interest in developing a career within education.
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Youth Worker, Behaviour Support Worker or similar would be advantageous, but is not essential.
