Salary: £460–£600 per week (depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are looking for a patient and committed Behaviour Support to work with a vibrant school in Doncaster. You will play an important role in helping pupils manage challenging situations, build positive relationships and develop strategies that support better engagement with learning as a Behaviour Support.
Your responsibilities as a Behaviour Support:
- Provide individual or small-group support to pupils with behavioural needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and appropriate responses to challenging situations.
- Help pupils develop self-regulation and coping strategies.
- Build trusting and professional relationships with students.
- Support pupils with transitions and re-engagement in learning.
- Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to follow agreed support strategies.
- Record relevant observations and communicate concerns appropriately.
Requirements for the Behaviour Support role:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable.
- Experience in education, youth work, pastoral care or a similar environment would be beneficial.
- Patient, calm and empathetic approach.
- Confident dealing with challenging behaviour in a professional manner.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Consistent and reliable attitude.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
