Salary: £460–£600 per week (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Long-Term/ Day-to-day, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are currently seeking a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to work with a school setting in Doncaster. This role is suited to someone who understands the importance of creating a warm, stimulating environment where young children can develop their communication, social and early learning skills.

As an Early Years Practitioner (EYP), you will:

  • Support children's learning through age-appropriate play and activities.
  • Help create a safe, welcoming and engaging environment.
  • Encourage children's communication, confidence and social development.
  • Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes and personal care where required.
  • Observe children's development and share relevant observations with staff.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures consistently.

Requirements for the Early Years Practitioner role:

  • Previous experience working with children in an early years or childcare setting is desirable.
  • Relevant Early Years, Childcare or CACHE qualification would be beneficial.
  • A warm, patient and nurturing approach.
  • Good understanding of children's development and individual needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable and able to contribute positively to a busy setting.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
