Salary: £100 - £120 per day

Contract: Part Time, 2 days a week
Data Assistant – Tower Hamlets
GSL Education is looking for an experienced Data Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive secondary comprehensive school and sixth form for girls in Tower Hamlets. This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Assistant who is organised, reliable and confident working with school data and administrative systems.
As a Data Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the school with accurate data management, record keeping and reporting. The successful Data Assistant will work closely with staff to ensure information is accurate, up to date and handled confidentially.
Responsibilities
- Work as a Data Assistant supporting the day-to-day management of school data and records.
- Maintain accurate pupil, attendance and staff data using school systems and databases.
- Input, update and check information carefully, identifying and correcting errors.
- Assist with producing reports, spreadsheets and data summaries for school staff.
- Support the school with attendance, assessment and pupil information data.
- Ensure all data is handled confidentially and in line with school policies.
- Respond to data-related queries from teachers, support staff and senior leaders.
- Help with general administrative tasks when required.
- Work effectively as a Data Assistant while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Data Assistant, preferably within a school or education setting.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using school databases or MIS systems would be an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work accurately with confidential and sensitive information.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with staff at all levels.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
- A professional, reliable and positive approach to work.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- The successful Data Assistant must be able to work 2 days per week.
