GSL Education is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a school in Middlesbrough on a part-time, temporary basis, starting immediately.
About the Role
You will work closely with teachers to support pupils with their learning, engagement, and development. You will help create a positive classroom environment and provide additional support where pupils may need extra encouragement or guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils during lessons and classroom activities.
- Providing one-to-one or small-group support where required.
- Helping pupils stay engaged, focused, and confident in their learning.
- Assisting teachers with classroom tasks and learning resources.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Supporting an inclusive, safe, and welcoming learning environment.
- Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- A patient, caring, and approachable personality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm and supportive in different situations.
- Reliable, adaptable, and committed to supporting pupils.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
