GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking an enthusiastic Computer Studies (CS) Teacher to work with a school in Sheffield. This role offers the opportunity to deliver engaging computing lessons, develop pupils' digital understanding and encourage them to use technology creatively and responsibly.
As a Computer Studies Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons.
- Teach computing, digital technology and relevant concepts.
- Make technical topics clear and accessible to students.
- Develop logical thinking, coding and problem-solving skills.
- Assess learning and provide useful feedback.
- Encourage safe, responsible and effective use of technology.
- Work with colleagues to support students' wider academic development.
Requirements for the Computer Studies Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Computer Studies or a related subject.
- Previous experience as a Computer Science (CS) Teacher is desirable.
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to engage students with different levels of digital experience.
- Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
