Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: Sheffield S5
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a primary classroom? A welcoming school in Sheffield S5 is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide valuable support to pupils and the wider teaching team.
About the Role:
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2. You will help deliver engaging learning activities, provide one-to-one and small-group support, and assist children with their academic, social and emotional development. Your experience and qualification will allow you to take an active role in creating a positive and well-structured learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher with daily teaching and learning activities.

Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.

Assist children with literacy, numeracy and other age-appropriate learning.

Support pupils with additional learning, behavioural or pastoral needs.

Help promote positive behaviour and encourage active participation.

Contribute to a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

Previous experience working within a primary school is desirable.

Good knowledge of supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.

Strong communication and classroom support skills.

A patient, caring and adaptable approach.

Ability to work effectively alongside teachers and other school staff.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
