Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: Sheffield S5
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a primary school? A welcoming school in Sheffield S5 is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with their learning and development.
About the Role:
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across the primary age range. Your day-to-day role will include helping with classroom activities, providing one-to-one and small-group support, and encouraging pupils to stay engaged and confident in their learning.
You will also play an important part in maintaining a positive classroom environment and helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.

Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities.

Provide one-to-one and small-group support where needed.

Help pupils develop their literacy, numeracy and wider learning skills.

Encourage positive behaviour, independence and engagement.

Support pupils with their social and emotional development.

Assist with preparing resources and maintaining an organised classroom.

Observe pupil progress and share relevant feedback with teaching staff.
Requirements:
-
A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant equivalent is desirable.

Previous experience working with children in a primary school setting is advantageous.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A patient, caring and adaptable approach.

Ability to support pupils across different stages of primary education.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A genuine commitment to helping children learn and develop.
To work with GSL Education as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Primary), you should:

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
