Salary: £460 – £650 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you confident leading a classroom and looking for a rewarding opportunity in education? A welcoming secondary school in Sheffield is seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to support pupils and maintain continuity of learning.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes across different subjects when the usual teacher is unavailable. You’ll deliver pre-prepared lesson work, manage classroom behaviour and make sure pupils remain focused and engaged throughout the lesson.
This role offers a great opportunity to gain experience across different year groups and subjects while working closely with teaching staff.

Responsibilities:

Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lesson materials.

Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a calm learning environment.

Support pupils with their work and encourage positive engagement.

Ensure lessons run smoothly in the absence of the usual teacher.

Follow school policies and procedures consistently.

Provide relevant feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

A confident, calm and adaptable approach.

Ability to follow lesson plans and work independently.

Ability to build positive professional relationships with pupils.

A genuine interest in supporting young people and their education.

Have the right to work in the UK.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
