Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Full time / Part time 

GSL Education are working with a lovely Primary school in Eastleigh who are seeking a HLTA to join their team. This Higher Level Teaching Assistant will ideally be full time but the school will consider part time for the right candidate. 

This is a lovely, supportive primary school who need a TA to work 1:1. 

Requirements:  

  • Candidates who have previous experience will be given preference. 
  • Strong communication abilities are imperative. 
  • We highly value qualities like compassion, patience, and empathy. 
  • Adaptability and flexibility in various situations are essential. 
  • A dedication to fostering the success and well-being of students is paramount. 
  • MUST have HLTA status or equivelant.
  • Someone who is confident in KS2. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Support students along their educational journey as a Teaching Assistant. 
  • Create diverse methods tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. 
  • Work closely with educators, therapists, and families to design effective support plans. 
  • PPA Cover in the absense of teacher
  • Work 1:1 and lead small group interventions
