Job Title: Early Years Practitioner
Location: Sheffield
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join welcoming school in Sheffield. We are looking for individuals who can engage children through purposeful play, respond to their individual developmental needs, and create positive experiences that encourage learning from an early age.
The EYP will support children’s learning and wellbeing through structured activities, play, and daily routines, contributing to their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Early Years Practitioner Responsibilities:
- Prepare stimulating activities that reflect children’s ages, interests, and developmental needs
- Encourage language development through conversation, stories, songs, and interactive play
- Track children’s progress through observation and contribute to developmental records
- Promote social skills by creating opportunities for cooperation and shared activities
- Assist children in developing confidence and independence during everyday routines
- Maintain an organised and nurturing environment where children can learn safely
Early Years Practitioner Requirements:
- Practical experience working with young children in nursery, childcare, or Early Years settings
- Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and its learning areas
- Understanding of how children develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically
- Confidence planning or delivering activities appropriate to different developmental stages
- Strong communication skills with a caring and dependable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
