Job Title: Behaviour Support
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are recruiting dedicated Behaviour Support to work in amazing schools throughout Doncaster. We are seeking individuals who can understand the factors behind challenging behaviour, establish clear expectations, and provide practical strategies that help pupils improve their engagement with learning.
The Behaviour Support role involves providing focused assistance to pupils experiencing behavioural, social, or emotional difficulties, helping them manage their responses and participate more constructively in school life.
Behaviour Support Responsibilities:
- Develop positive working relationships with pupils requiring behavioural intervention
- Recognise early signs of frustration, disengagement, or escalating behaviour
- Use appropriate de-escalation techniques to manage difficult situations safely
- Reinforce agreed expectations and encourage pupils to make constructive choices
- Document incidents and behavioural progress accurately for relevant school staff
- Coordinate with teachers and pastoral colleagues to maintain consistent intervention strategies
Behaviour Support Requirements:
- Previous involvement in education, youth work, mentoring, care, or behavioural support
- Familiarity with positive behaviour management and de-escalation approaches
- Ability to remain composed and make appropriate decisions during challenging situations
- Confidence setting firm but appropriate boundaries with young people
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a patient and consistent manner
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
