Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Hull
Salary: £93 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education Hull Branch are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work in schools across Hull, supporting pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teachers and other education professionals to provide targeted support to pupils who may require additional help with their learning. You will work with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping to remove barriers to learning and encouraging them to develop confidence and independence.
Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with varying learning needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Support pupils with classroom activities, learning tasks, and educational resources.
- Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual requirements.
- Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in learning.
- Promote pupils' confidence, independence, and social development.
- Support students with additional learning needs, including SEND, where required.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and relevant staff.
- Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements of a Learning Support Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable.
- A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs is beneficial.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting pupils.
- A genuine commitment to supporting the learning and development of young people.
- Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply
