Job title: PE Teacher

Location: Doncaster

Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Long-Term/ Day-to-day, Full-Time / Part-Time

Do you have the energy and enthusiasm to motivate students through sport, teamwork and physical activity?

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are seeking a passionate Physical Education (PE) Teacher to work with a school in Doncaster. This is an opportunity to deliver varied practical lessons, support pupils' physical development and create an environment where students can enjoy and succeed in sport.

Your role as a PE Teacher:

  • Deliver well-planned PE lessons that engage students of different abilities.
  • Teach practical activities safely and effectively.
  • Encourage participation, teamwork and sporting discipline.
  • Help students develop physical skills and understanding of healthy lifestyles.
  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain clear behaviour and safety expectations during practical sessions.
  • Contribute to extracurricular or wider sporting activities where appropriate.

Requirements for the PE Teacher role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Physical Education and relevant sporting activities.
  • Previous experience as a Physical Education (PE) Teacher in a school setting.
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to motivate students and encourage participation.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
