Job Title: Exam Invigilator
Location: Selby, North Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, Supply, Part-Time, Full-Time
Start Date: As Soon As Possible
Salary: £92 - £115 per day (Depending on experience)
Are you organised, attentive, and able to remain calm and professional in a busy examination environment? GSL Education Hull Branch are currently recruiting reliable Exam Invigilators to support examinations across an educational setting in Selby.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who can follow procedures carefully, maintain a focused environment, and help ensure examinations run smoothly and fairly for all students.
Main Responsibilities:
- Set up examination rooms and ensure the correct materials and seating arrangements are in place.
- Welcome candidates and provide clear instructions before and during examinations.
- Supervise students throughout exams, maintaining a quiet, fair, and controlled environment.
- Follow examination regulations and procedures accurately at all times.
- Monitor candidates closely and report any concerns, incidents, or irregularities promptly.
- Collect and securely organise examination papers and materials at the end of each session.
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience in an educational, administrative, supervisory, or similar environment is desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and procedures precisely.
- Calm, reliable, and professional approach, particularly when working under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to provide clear instructions to students.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding students.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
