Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Salary: Up to £200 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you an enthusiastic English Teacher ready to inspire students and help them develop a strong foundation in language and literature? A welcoming secondary school in Doncaster is looking for a committed English Teacher to join its teaching team from September 2026.
About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will plan and deliver well-structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop their reading, writing, analytical and communication skills. You will use your subject knowledge to challenge and support learners, while adapting your teaching to meet a range of abilities and needs.
You will also assess pupil progress, contribute to departmental planning and play an active role in creating a positive classroom culture.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4.

Teach a broad range of English language and literature content.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.

Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of individual learners.

Maintain positive behaviour and high expectations within the classroom.

Work collaboratively with colleagues within the English department.

Contribute to wider school activities and the continued development of the department where appropriate.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.

Strong subject knowledge across English language and literature.

Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.

Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
-
A commitment to delivering engaging and purposeful lessons.

An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
