Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: Sheffield S5
Salary: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Do you have a Level 3 qualification and enjoy helping primary-aged children get the most from their time in school? A welcoming primary school in Sheffield S5 is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the classroom and contribute to their learning and development.
About the Role:
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils throughout the school day. You will assist with classroom activities, provide one-to-one or small-group support and help pupils stay engaged with their learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
You will also help prepare learning resources, support positive behaviour and encourage pupils to develop confidence and independence in the classroom.

Responsibilities:

Support the class teacher with daily learning activities.

Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.

Assist pupils with their reading, writing, numeracy and wider learning.

Help prepare classroom resources and activities.

Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence.

Support pupils during lessons, transitions and wider school activities.

Observe pupil progress and share relevant feedback with the class teacher.
Requirements:

A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable.

A patient, caring and adaptable approach.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively alongside teachers and other school staff.

Confidence supporting children with different learning needs.

A genuine commitment to helping pupils achieve their potential.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
