If so, GSL Education Kent would be delighted to hear from you. We are recruiting enthusiastic Primary Supply Teachers to support a range of welcoming primary schools in Maidstone and the surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons confidently across various year groups.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Adhere to school policies, including safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Support pupils’ learning and encourage positive engagement throughout the day.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the regular class teacher on pupil progress and lesson outcomes.
  • Adapt swiftly to different school settings, year groups, and classroom expectations.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Recent experience teaching in UK primary schools.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Valid Right to Work in the UK.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

What We Offer

  • Flexible working: Choose the days you wish to work.
  • Immediate and future placements: Access to day-to-day and longer-term opportunities.
  • Local opportunities: Work across a broad network of primary schools in Maidstone and surrounding Kent areas.
  • Professional support: Dedicated consultants to assist with CV preparation, interview coaching, and placements.
  • Easy registration: We manage compliance and paperwork for you.
  • Career flexibility: Continue supply teaching while exploring longer-term or permanent roles.
  • Referral rewards: Receive bonuses for successfully recommending qualified teaching colleagues.

Whether you seek occasional supply work, one or two days per week, several days, or a longer-term placement, GSL Education Kent can help you find an opportunity tailored to your lifestyle and commitments.

Please note this Primary Supply Teacher role requires a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection. All successful candidates will undergo safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS via the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
