Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Worksop
Salary: £460 - £650 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you confident managing a classroom and keen to support pupils in their learning? A secondary school in Worksop is looking for a reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team and help maintain a positive learning environment.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of their usual teacher, ensuring pupils remain focused and complete the work provided. You will support students across different subjects, manage classroom behaviour and help maintain a calm and productive atmosphere throughout the school day.
This role would suit someone who is organised, confident and enjoys working with young people in a school setting.

Responsibilities:

Supervise classes and deliver work set by teaching staff.

Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a calm learning environment.

Support pupils to stay focused and complete assigned tasks.

Follow school policies and procedures throughout the school day.

Provide appropriate support to pupils when required.

Report any concerns or relevant feedback to teaching and pastoral staff.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

Confident classroom management and communication skills.

A calm, professional and consistent approach.

Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions effectively.

Strong organisational skills and reliability.

A genuine interest in supporting pupils and their education.

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
