Salary Scale: £34,068 to £52,834 per annum (MPS/UPS)

GSL Education Hull Branch are currently recruiting for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Maths Teacher to work within schools across Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ambitious educator looking to make a positive impact on students’ mathematical development.
About the Role
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across the secondary Maths curriculum. You will create an inclusive classroom environment, adapt teaching to meet different learning needs, and encourage students to develop strong mathematical understanding and independent problem-solving skills.
Core Responsibilities of the Maths Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across relevant key stages.
- Differentiate teaching and learning activities to meet a range of abilities and needs.
- Develop students’ confidence in mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and application of knowledge.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to students’ academic progress and wider development.
As the Ideal Maths Teacher, You Should Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge across the secondary Maths curriculum.
- Previous experience teaching Maths within a UK secondary school setting.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to differentiate effectively and respond to varied learning needs.
- A passionate, enthusiastic, and committed approach to teaching and supporting student achievement.
To Work with GSL Education, You Must:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Provide an up-to-date CV and references covering the last 2 years.
- Have recent experience working with children or young people.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
