Salary: £130–£220 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are currently hiring an engaging and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher to work with a school in Wakefield (WF1). This is an opportunity to deliver thought-provoking lessons, encourage discussion and help pupils develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
As a Humanities Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across relevant Humanities subjects.
- Encourage students to question, discuss and evaluate different perspectives.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet varied learning needs.
- Assess students' work and provide meaningful feedback.
- Create an inclusive classroom where students feel confident contributing.
- Promote independent thinking and strong analytical skills.
- Work with colleagues to support pupils' wider academic development.
Requirements for the Humanities Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for the role.
- A Humanities Teacher should hold Strong knowledge of relevant Humanities subjects.
- Previous experience teaching within a school setting is encouraged.
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to engage students through varied teaching approaches.
- Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
